The MiG-15 in 1/48 scale is a relatively new model of the Chinese manufacturer, which we are used to mainly dealing with armor kits - Bronco.
In general, the fit is quite good, maybe you could even say excellent, for the fit of the wing fuselage a little more fitting was needed due to very small tolerances , with a little effort I achieved a good fit and one pass with Mr.Surfacer was more than enough. The flaps as well as all the control surfaces are given as separate parts and can be placed in position thus giving a bit of interest and dynamics to the static model.

Pito cev, cevi mitraljeza i indikatore položaja stajnog trapa zamenio sam metalnim cevčicama.

The cockpit is very detailed, it has a lot of parts, and I added several details, handles and belts on the seat. According to the available drawings, I completely riveted the model.
I replaced the pitot tube, machine gun barrels and landing gear position indicators with metal tubes.

Uz malo truda, relativno lako ovom tehnikom dobio sam odličnu providnost prozirnih delova.

The biggest drawback of this kit, which I noticed in some other reviews on the Internet, is the foggy cabin glass. With new modeling technologies and casting processes this is quite a rarity these days. With a little effort, relatively easily with this technique I got excellent transparency of parts.
The kit represents a plane with the markings of the North Korean Air Force and the Soviet pilot Colonel Pepelyaev, allegedly the second-ranking Soviet ace with 19 victories in the Korean War.
As far as painting is concerned, I decided on an all-aluminum painted aircraft, as according to some sources it left the factory coated with a transparent protective varnish with aluminum powder, so tinting the panels except for the aerodynamic brakes was out of the question. The paint I used is Gunze Mr.hobby Aluminum 218 with the obligatory three thin protective layers of clear varnish also Gunze GX100.
