Rodenova Britanska haubica od 8 inča iz perioda WW1 BL 8 inch je jedina maketa ove vrste, razmere 1/35 u plastici . Maketa je iz 2018 godine mada bi se po kvalitetu delova i livenja moglo pomisliti da je starje proizvodnje. Uklapanje je uglavnom dobro i bez većih problema i ako je uputstvo prilično šturo, sa sitnim slikama rasklopa, ponekad zbunjujuće a u par slučajeva i poglešno.
Najslabija "karika" ove makete su bez diskusije točkovi odnosno nihove gazne površine , odlivene od vinila sa zakivcima u negativu koje su na pravom oruđu prilično ispupčene. Pojednostavljena nišanska sprava i manjak detalja sa ujutrašnje i donje strane lafeta su takođe vredne pomena . Kako bilo ako izuzmemo ili doradama nadohnadimo pomenute nedostatke relativno brzo dobijamo sasvim pristojnu u poređenju sa muzejskim primercima detaljnu i tačnu reprodukciju ovog artiljerijskog oruđa iz WW1.

Roden's WW1 BL 8 inch British howitzer is the only kit of its kind, 1/35 scale in plastic. Dated 2018, although the quality of the parts and the casting might suggest that it is of older production. The fit is generally good and without major problems, even if the instructions are rather short, with small pictures of the assembly, sometimes confusing and in a few cases, too condescending.
Without a doubt, the weakest "link" of this kit is the wheels, i.e. their treads, cast from vinyl with rivets in the negative, which are quite prominent on the real piece . The simplified aiming device and the lack of detail on the front and lower sides of the carriage are also worth mentioning. However, if we remove or scratch built the mentioned shortcomings relatively quickly, we get a quite decent, compared to museum specimens, detailed and accurate reproduction of this artillery piece from WW1.
